my life is falling apart. Please help!?
As a child I was very intelectual and always performed above average standards at school. I was a bit on the chubby side, not slim like my sister hence alot of people saw her as the attractive one and me as the cute one, always pinching my cheeks. School life was horrible for myself, I was a victim of indirect bullying. Well i dunno if its bullying. All I know is that the girls never wanted me in their groups, I was always left out and it felt like rumours about me were sent around school. I remember one girl saying to me "I dont know but for some reason I dont like your face" that really hurt me and broke my self esteem, it still hurts as I still remember it and I am in my late twenties now. No one actually physical bullied me, it was rather leaving me out as if I was contagious. I felt so ugly about myself that I developed anorexia and was taken of school, hospitalised and survived it. I am now happily married but I cant stop thinking about the past, I constantly have nightmares I've always wondered why it was me who was the victime, what was wrong with me, why me and not someone else! I was bullied in primary school, junior school and high school. There must be something wrong with me as this bullying was context general not specific. even at uni, one particular girl never really liked me and she made a whold group of girls not want to hang around me. This was because I missed a group session. However there were people in the group who had missed numerous group sessions, so why were they mad at me when I missed, especially when it was due to a hospital admission. This isolation seems to be continuing through my life. Even my laws behave in the same way.
